So I know I just posted a week ago about my Factory HU+ Dension ICE Link setup... But I have to admit, it just wasnt good enough.
So I had the ICE Link swapped out for an Alpine CDA-9855+KCA420i iPod interface setup.
I have to admit, that with the new headunit the MY05 factory speakers sound really great. Like so much so that Im not in a hurry to hook up the separates. The next step for me is definetly getting some sort of rear channel either SPODs or the Headrest speakers...
Anyways here are a few pics of the CDA-9855 in my car...
Enjoy
Ridiculous welcomes you
The iPod sits in the same spot as I had my ICE Link so I didnt have to have anymore holes cut.
Finally a nice close up of this gorgeous deck Tilted out a lil bit...
I want to purchase a 9855, but that glide touch thing is too God damned stupid. Whoever came up with that should be urinated upon by fat, smelly, hairy men.

I have the 9853...and I actually really like it...some adjustment required...but it's a cool toy
Actually you know...I find the MY04+ tweeters a bit too bright for my tastes. I may be able to compensate some but I think buying the new HU has only sped up buying new speakers...
BTW.....where's the wired DCI when we need it *prod* *prod*

No its not stupid, it works really well. (unless you're a fat, smelly man with urine on your fingers). I also found that changing the stock speakers was unecessary, and that's before playing with the sound enhancement features.
