Default HKS install pics & info

I wanna start by saying that was the EASIEST exhaust install I've EVER done, and I've done a lot of exhaust jobs!
Took under an hour!
The factory exhaust is a huge, 1 piece deal, but it's only held on by 3 nuts and 5 rubber hangers.
The HKS fit PERFECT, 4 pieces, all flanges w/gaskets- no clamps.
Absolutely the easiest install possible.
The sound is awesome and maybe a HP or 2, there's really no decent gains from any of the duals. I still just barely chirp hitting 3rd.
Only other part I had to remove was the rear lower tie bar (2 10mm bolts) and swing it out of the way.
It does NOT interfere with a floor jack and the reaf diff lift point.
Here are a few pics.

stock exhaust

Stock exhaust with a soda can for size comparison, the mufflers are HUGE!

and here's the finished install.

sounds GREAT. I made wav files if stock, open cat (I couldn't resist- sounds like a big pi$$ed off street bike), and with the HKS.
If anyone is interested, Ill mp3 them and post them.

Me too, would like to hear what it sounds like Venom.

Very nice jobs you did to your car .... I like the clear corners, the soilers, and the badge and the exhaust.

whats next ?

9000RPM,
I have my own custom CAI, ducted through the fenderwell with the fake vent opened up, just the intake was LOUD!
I listened to the wavs today and they sound like crap, the mic sucked. I'll make some good sound files this weekend, including some drive-bys and maybe inside a tunnel or 2.

mstw,
next?
hmm, well I have a custom steering wheel sitting on my desk next to a couple of infinity rear speakers, so I'll be doing some interior work as soon as my steering hub adapter gets in

since last weekend I've cleared the corners, painted the calipers, and changed the exhaust.

Yeah, I have an intake too
it uses the fender area for a cold air box and the fake vent is opened up to pressurize the chamber, and damn it's loud!
It's as loud as the open WeaponR filter element was, but a little lower pitched and cold air now.
This is an older pic, but it's the only one I have of the intake setup.
