I went to check on the progress of the seatbelt recall, and kind of wish i hadn't!

Apparently this is major surgery, and the shop couldn't finish it in one day. Unfortunately my car is also their first patient, i hope they don't scratch it too badly while learning how to do this...

Here are some pics for you to ponder:

Duude!!! You might as well bite the bullet and get all of the upgrades you ever planned to put in the interior of this car done while they have it apart . Is there anyting beside the carpet that they didn't tear out??

I told you all to not do it! I walked in on my passenger side getting done a long time ago cuz it locked up(months before the recall went out)

I wont get the other one done because of it. Its like walking in on a liver transplant. You dont want to do it! Just about everything but the dash and the top are taken out or dismantled in the car.

My shop ended up scratching a panel that sits vertically in the back of the tray the top goes into.

Good luck!

Wow...look at the amount of blood! You'd never believe that was a black interior an hour ago!

Yeah, on the one hand i agree, but on the other i kinda like working seatbelts... Just think about whether you trust your shop to take all this stuff apart without damaging something...

Now I know I want to avoid this if possible. Hey, wouldn't our seats make a good-looking office chair?

Did anyone notice that the rollbars that fit in the plastic casing look rather whimpy? I was always under the impression that there was a honking big bar under there. The ones in the picture look kind of "petite".
