Okay peeps, let's see who can get the best time in a standard S2K around the 'ring in Arcade's "Time Trial" mode.

The Rules
Out of principle please don't drive across the grass etc. Likewise, you must only use a standard machine, but it can be of any year, using any tyre, and any transmission. Drive cleanly and fairly and this should be good fun. Any times which seem to be out of the ordinary must be prepared to show their sector times for scrutineering.

I'll store the times on the first post here, starting with mine. I will only list each person once, but you can submit as many times as you like, and I'll keep updating the post with your best one.

All players must use the PAL version, and only those who own or have owned an S2K may contribute times.

Good idea - I'll post a time when I get round to having a proper go. In the meantime what about tyre choice which is the most important factor? I've been using sports:soft tyres. We need to be consistent with this choice or else at least mention it along with the lap time.

 

Is it likely to be slower than unmodded in GT mode? I've managed an 8'15 in GT mode but, accepting your challenge, will post my arcade times later

Incidentally, you come across a lot of mpegs of peoples GT4 laps. How do they transfer the replay footage to their PCs?

I think there is differences with GT mode, mate. I think time is sped up for the Arcade mode to make it more "fun". It's an easier way to ensure no one uses an unmodded car though, hence why I suggested we do it there.

As for video footage, it could be a few things I suppose. Some sort of video capture card is the most likely, taking a feed directly from the PS2's TV output.

 

What's the small figures mate and I'll post it up?

Also, I'll amend the first post to say that I will only list one time per person, and each time you submit a new time it will replace your old one.
