Default Sunday drive though N NC

Not everyone could make the beach this weekend, but a few of us got together and were treated to some of Jay's haunts in northern NC above Winston Salem.

Great roads, elevation changes and great curves Jay: here are the few pics I took when I wasn't busy driving.

I caught up with Justin on the way over to WS

Great curves... and a Buick.

Looking down on the roads we just carved up.

Justin reconsiders his color choice after looking over Jay's S.

Driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Thanks for the drive Jay, I know where I'm going to explore on my next free day with my S.

Good pics!

I was hoping to join you guys! I even changed my oil and filter yesterday morning, but as I got ready to pull the car out of the garage, and head out (1:15), it started pouring down rain...so I closed the garage door and pouted !!!

Oh, Steve, you should have come! I have to say a big thanks to Jay for even letting his S get wet...

We had a bit of rain, but the day was mainly overcast and cool, especially at the higher elevations and in the forests. The light was dramatic with all the clouds, I wish I could have taken more shots.

Jay, have you ever driven your S in the rain before Sunday?

Matt & Justin,
It was a pleasure meeting you both. I really enjoyed the drive and the company. Maybe we can put together the "VA-NC Border Run" later this summer. As we talked about it would be fun to make that same run and end up at Chateau Morisette on the BR Parkway

Oh yes, many times, I don't think I have ever been to a meet that I didn't run into rain somewhere. You should have seen the S after we arrived at the Dragon in April

BTW Justin, Great Pics
