of course...... if you sit in the seat, and it fits your ass perfectly then you know it's yours.... other then that you're shit out of luck

Here's one way to prove the seats are yours ... But you need to put the Data Dots on your seats before they get stolen ...

clearly lifted...no real owner sells seats in that condition for that price, nor has more than one SET at that price.

guys, as someone new here, just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I don't own an S2000, but we in the Maxima community have had a BIG problem with our HID headlights getting stolen (they are very easy to pop out) and the housings and ballasts appearing on ebay. Nissan actually has fitted alot of them with the Data Dots but they really don't help much.

There are two things alot of the maxima guys are doing, that might be applicible for the S2000 seats....

1. make an identifying mark in an area that is not easily seen (between seam lines, underside of seat, etc etc etc....and make sure to get a photo of it for proof. .that way if they DO appear on ebay in a LOCAL sale, you could check the actual item photos (or go "inspect" them in person)...if you see the mark, tell the guy you'll take them, but you have to go to the bank. When you go back , bring your local cop with you....

I've seen this successfully done once or twice on the maxima forums, where the headlights were recovered to the owner, but you really have to keep your eye on the sales on ebay and be willing to check each one out in person.

Then again, this should be easier with red S2000 seats, since there are not that many of them...

2. build a bracket that makes removal difficult. Not sure how the S2000 seats are attached, but I'd guess it's standard bolts to the rails? In any case, might want to find out about fabricating a piece that makes the seats difficult to remove (as some have done for the HIDs on the maxima.)

In any case, sorry to hear about this problem, and good luck. I know a guy with red S2000 seats also, so I'll be sure to tell him to watch out!

That seat is not from an 03. The back plastic head pieces are red colored, I believe they were silver starting in 02.
