Here's a little background. We were trying to rent Laguna Seca to be the track for S2KDays. We weren't able to get dates around the time that we wanted, so we had to bail on the idea of wrapping up S2KDays with two days at Laguna.

Now...

We did get two dates for open track time at Laguna for S2000's ONLY. They dates are January 14 and 15. Yes, we realize that it's not the optimum time of year, but seriously, if you had the chance to run Laguna Seca even if it was raining, wouldn't you do it?! Yea, I thought so... Screw the rain!

We will likely give back the Tuesday and just take the Monday, unless initial demand is high enough to support both days...I hope that would happen, but I don't think it's likely.

We would like to have 60 cars there and cap it at that. Any more and it becomes too crowded and any fewer, it's more track time, but it's also more expensive per driver. I don't think people will mind paying more, but we want to have a balance of cost and seat time...

I want this thread to indicate how serious each of you are about attending. This will be the barometer for indicating whether or not we hang on to the Tuesday or not. Post here and soon if you are serious about coming!

This is not speculation and Laguna has confirmed these dates for us and only for us.

We are also looking for people to help work corners and do other track related things throughout our time there. Post if you are able to help in that regard as well. As I said, we will be capping this off at about 60 cars...so get in quickly, we need to get this ball rolling yesterday!

Brad, Sondra and I will be flying out for this event and we are all very excited about meeting you guys and gals there. This is going to be a landmark event not only for the drivers, but for the S2KCA, as well. We feel pretty honored that we have the ability to rent this track in our first year of existence...lots of thanks go out to lots of people on this one, that's for sure!

POST!

I am absolutely 100% in. Period. For 1 or 2 days, however it works out.

Thanks, Greg and company!!

Could you move the track a little further over towards the right-hand coast ?

I'm jealous - have fun at the track!

Better come quickly, otherwise, if an earthquake hits, y'all will be even farther as you fall into the Atlantic
