Default Classic Carrier Photos

Photos below show the boot luggage carrier installed on my S2K. A nose-bleeding job, though. A mole wrench was needed as a third hand to bring the ends of the base straps together whilst fitting the carrier and screws/washers with an allen key. No fitting instructions supplied, and none for the S2000 on their website either. I had to work from the website instruction page for the MR2.

It is shiny, I just don't know if I could do that to my car. I guess that I would need to see one in person though. Some of the Z3s around here have them and they don't quite look right.

I think that looks great. After the initial install, is it much of a job to remove/refit?

Default Luggage Rack

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can help me, my wife an I have recently bought our first s2000 and needless to say are incredibly happy with it and we are also new to this forum so any pointers tips or locations of parts dealers in the north east of the uk would be appreciated.

We would like to put a luggage rack on the back of it and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good one. I was injured in an accident a few years ago and now use a wheelchair permanently and have to carry the wheelchair with me when I travel. As most of you will be aware, the boot space is limited and i have had to knock together a home made wheelchair which comes to pieces so it will fit in the boot. While this is OK for short trips or weekend breaks, my home made chair could be compared to a shed or even a skip. My normal chair is much nicer and if we were to go away for a longer period I would like to be able to take that instead.

Some of the racks I have read about require drilling which I do not like the sound of, are there any available which a less permanent and easier to fit.

My apologies for the length or this post as it is my first to this forum.

Many Thanks

Colin

I have an MGF which has a removeable rack.

I have toyed with trying to fit it onto my S2000 as it also doubles as a mountain bike rack (maxda mx5 accessorie that fit the MGF one). It can cause slight paint damage if you are not 100% careful hence my reluctance.

Looking at the design though it might fit. Try an MG dealership. The are about 165 inclusive.
