Default Mobil 1 Filter

Has anyone tried to use the Mobil 1 oil filter -M1-105, or the -M1-208? If so I was curious if they fit or not?

Nope, but I have used the M-104 which is the correct one for the S2000. Works great.

I really wasn't trying to be a smart ass. Some people like to use larger filters than the stock and will sometimes use a filter from another car due to its larger capacity. I know it's the M-104 because it's the same one that the 92-96 Preludes use, my old Honda (93 Si).

Not sure if you saw it in one of my posts, but I'm using the 105 right now- fits and works just great. Increased oil capacity just a tad. I haven't tried the 208, but with the lack of a bypass valve, I probably won't- I do a little more street driving than I think I would trust w/o the bypass valve.

Yeah I saw your post and i've used the M1-104 on all of my other Honda's but I kind of wanted to go to a larger capacity filter. I went to the store this morning and was looking at the M1-104, M1-105, and the M1-208 and decided on the M1-104. I didn't want to use the M1-208 because of the no bypass valve and the M1-105 didn't look like it fit, but you say it fits so i'll probably try that next time.
thanks

The M1-105 DOES fit... I'm running it now. Despite what it may look like, the thread size/pitch is the same and the inlet hole pattern diameter is the same (though there are more holes). This filter should theoretically flow a good bit better with more inlet area and more filter area, as well as increasing oil capacity slightly.

The threads of the M1-208 will not fit the Honda. I gave it a try.

M1-105 fits great, works great, no problems.

Thanks to marcucci for doing the research.

Just ordered a bunch more (RT, you're covered ).
