Default Break-in (theft) information

Just a general announcement to all..

Last night my 2003 S2000 was broken into and the SEATs were stolen! The shift knob too. I'm sure you can all tell who took the stuff.

The drivers window was smashed but I never heard the alarm. I left the car outside the garage because my wife was painting in the garage and those things were still wet.

The cops wouldn't take prints. Too busy with real crime.

That's all....

Damn, sorry to hear about that. People that break into cars should be drawn and quartered.

I see that this is a common problem from the other threads. I just wasn't on the forum very much after I bought the car.

After reading that others had the top cut I feel better that just the drivers window was smashed.

The thing I think is that I don't want my car to be the "parts wearhouse" for the aisian tuners. I have only left it outside 5 times in two years so they must be swinging by every night waiting. I live on a side street (in a city). You have to want to go by my house.

Insurance guy is coming tomorow and I will be buying the seat locks soon after that.

Thanks guys
Sean

i don't think he was saying that. by asian tuners i assumed he meant people who "tune" asian cars.

Welcome to the club! My new plan of action since mine got stolen. Seat Locks, followed by window sticker stating seat locks, 2 Way alarm with Motion sensor and finally H&K USP .45

It's one of your neighbors man. No way thieves would swing by your side street to check if your car is there every night. My car got stolen, I'm 99% sure it was one of my neighbors that tipped them off. Glad I moved.
