As was mentioned in another thread, we're going to have a BBQ cookout/hangout on the afternoon/evening of October 2nd (probably start around 3:00pm) and wanted to start narrowing down some details. I wanted to get some feedback on what you all would like to see as far as food selection and possibly have some of you offer up some side items you'd like to bring with you. We can supply the meat of choice and were thinking about either burgers or beef & chicken fajitas.

We'd probably ask that somebody bring chips/salsa, somebody else maybe a side like potato salad, maybe a sweet snack of some sort, or whatever else you can think of.

I'd like this thread to serve as an RSVP roll-call (wives/SO's are welcome) and sign-up list for what item(s) you plan to bring. We'll have a 24-pack of Bud Light and assorted sodas in the fridge, but anything beyond that; BYOD.

Those that RSVP in this thread, I will send you a PM with my home address. If you need/want detailed directions, just respond to that PM and I can send you an email with info on how to get here if you'll tell me where you're coming from.

where is this event is going to host at? San Antonio or Austin?
I will have plan on that day, but if I'm close by and have time to slide out. I might swing by and check it out.

 

it's going to be on the north side of San Antonio. roughly 45 minutes from the outskirts of Austin.

 

As a point of reference, my house is less than a mile from the intersection of Hwy 281 and Loop 1604 on the North-central part of San Antonio -- about 10 minutes north of the airport.

 

I think I will swing by. Can I have the exact meeting location?
