here's some prices for 2002 parts i got from a local dealer

rear glass window- 560.00
soft top- 1125.00

center console- 398.00
dead pedal/new base- 75.00

inner door panels with tweeter housings- 350.00 each

dash defroster switch- 40.00
dash wiring harness- 260.00

aluminum/leather shift knob- 64.00

has anyone tried to retro-fit any of these parts? and does anyone know if you can get the tweeter housings without buying the whole door panel?

$398 for a vinyl centre console What do you get for that price? It seems awfully expensive when you look at the quality and personalisation available from Rick...

I won't be changing my CM dead pedal, from the photo's I can't really see any improvement.

The fitting costs for the new rear window or complete top assembly are really going to bump up the total cost of the job though.

When you look at the new MSRP of 2002 cars they seem pretty reasonable given the new parts are so expensive...

I can't remember the details, but I read an article once where they priced a car (Ford Granada i believe) based on buying it from the local parts dept - it made the total cost something like 4x the list price of buying the pre-assembled version

The other think that car manufacturers 'get up to' is seriously marking up prices of easily interchangable parts to stop older / lesser models being cheaply upgraded, thus maintaining the exclusivity of the new/more exotic model. I strongly suspect there is an element of this in the pricing of some of the new S2000 parts.

Does anyone have the part #s?

I wouldn't bother paying for the tweeters, you'd be better off risking (or paying) someone to cut the holes for you and you'd be sure of a better tweeter anyway.

Shifter Knob is about 64.00. I have one on order, should be in around first week in November. The dealership is switching mine for the new one.

I'd wait to see how much trevor offers the parts for. I'm sure it'll be somewhat cheaper.

so the new dead pedal fits, i recently installed it, however you need to get under the carpet to replace the base for a new one, the '02 metal dead pedal simply snaps onto that
