My keyless entry system is not working. Initially, I thought I ran out of battery, I replaced the battery and it's still not working.

Anyone had that experience before? Any advise?

Does your remote still work? Does the LED light up?
What you may need to do is reporgram it.

Reprogramming:
1. put the key in the ignition
2. turn to the on position without starting the car
3. press the unlock button on the remote
4. turn the key to the acc position (one postion back)
5. Repeat Steps 2-4 until the Locks cycle -You'll hear/see the door loocks unlock
6. press the lock button on the remote
7. Test all the buttons...trunk...panic, etc.

Was it only one time after driving, or has it been going on for a while? EgoThreat's remote didn't work once because the car thought the key was still in the ignition.

 

It's been a week. I have to manually lock my car now.

 

Using the steps rio described you can program up to four remotes (I beleive). I had to go through these steps when I installed the honda security alarm a while back.

bump.. anybody have any more info on this?


i tried reprogramming, and also tried pulling the fuse for 20+ seconds.. still nothing.. i can unlock the trunk, but the doors dont unlock.. it sounds like they are unlocking, but nothing actually works.. its frustrating.. ahh lol

 

......any update to this? Same problem.....
