Default Blizzak REVO 1 from TireRack

I just received a set of 4 snow tires and rims for my daughter's new Mustang. I gotta tell ya .......................... This whole buy from TireRack has got to be the easiest and most painless way to buy a set of tires AND save a few bucks at the same time.
Having shopped around town with Blaskin & Lane and MyTire.ca, I've concluded that if you're buying a set of 4 tires of a premium brand, it's hard for anyone local to beat this. This is especially true if you are also buying rims. They get mounted and balanced and if necessary, they even give you a set of lugnuts included in the price. The big advantage (besides saving about $100.00 after all fees and taxes are done) is that I did it all sitting in front of my computer and these things just showed up at my doorstep. No driving to the tire shop to order them in and going back to retrieve them when they're ready.

Here's a pic of the tires and rims, which BTW, cost about the SAME price as those cruddy black steel POS from the local tire shops.

Oh yeah, and those free lugnuts ................................

In case anyone wants to see up close the tread pattern of the REVO 1 ................

Offhand, the tactile fee of this tread is very similar to my old Blizzak MZ-01, perhaps a little harder, but not nearly as hard as the LM-22 or my current Michelin Pilot Alpin snows. Can't say just yet, but I think these REVOs are going to be a great compromise between the MZ (now WS) and the LM. The guy at B&L indicated to me that the snow performance is as good, if not slightly better than the WS series, with similar dry road handling of the LM. Time will tell.

Buck up, boys ........................... I can smell WINTER just around the corner.

Hi, was wondering if you got the duties/brokerage/gst bill yet and what it comes up to for a 840 dollar purchase in USD.

so about 17% in crap ($840 @ 1.2 = $1,000).....not bad since you pay 15% in crap up here anyways.

good deal.

i just got my dad wheels and tires for his MB E500....17's (OE MB replicas, no less) with WS-50's = $1000 US.

my wife was home when they arrived, so i have no idea what the damage was.....even if it was $400-$500, it's a deal.
