Post Am I the only one who only likes DRIVE meets?

As opposed to the sausagefest of strangers getting together and noone really talking because the only reason why you guys are together is because you bought the same car?

I personally only usually come to drives... twisties.. the 10-15 minutes meeting up for the drive is enough to "talk"... after that lets do a run and go home! If i wanted to meet more people i would go signup at a dating board or scour craigslist like aaron. But i guess my point is that those were alot more fun and even the shy people come out because its jus for the fun of the drive

my 2 cents and a thread because that seems to be the trend lately in the BA and i was feeling left out so i made a thread.

Doesn't matter much cuz i always flake

i don't really "drive" like we used to do on public roads. too many accidents, near-hits, etc. i drive a van around 3-4 days out of the week now lol.

i agree, some of the "meets" are kinda the ghey which is the main reason why I don't go cuz i don't really care to talk cars that much, but I'll show up to kbbq or wahtever as long as it's local.

edit: having said that, yes, I do drive like a jackass sometimes, do some stupid things, but I've seen people get it worse, get arrested, etc. blah to that

I'm thinking its time for another Oyster run. It combines everything, some driving, some eating, and some socializing.

i like meets where everyone gets trashed, but if there's a drive afterward then that's cool too.
