OK, when I got on S2ki today i noticed that I would have to click "back" 3 times to get out of a thread. I have also noticed adds appearing at the top and bottom of each thread. In my history, I see " http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/" After looking this up, I found this..
"Google is now serving ads for other Web sites. These Google ads typically

What browser? Why is there no sponsor banner? I'm going to assume you are using IE on windows. I'll need to look at that more closely but I haven't seen either of these problems on Firefox or Safari on the Mac. What firewall are you using? I'm going to guess that if your browser isn't messed up your firewall is.
Without sounding like I'm dogging the problem I honestly think the problem is firewall/adblocker related. It would be interesting to know if the other having this problem are also using Norton firewall. It's possible that Norton was auto updated and rules were added or changed that are adversely affecting s2ki.
I just checked the site with IE + Zone Alarm and it worked as expected without the problems you are reporting. Try disabling Norton temporarily and see if that makes a difference. If it does then we know that's where the problem lies. I will do some searching about newly reported issues.
Another thing you can try is going to some sites that have similar ads for example:
