The rim was dom out what does that mean? and arent the offsets on s2000's suppose to be like 50+ in front and 65+in the back I was told that from many people.

the offset can vary a lot.... you don't really need the offsets that you stated....

You need those offsets if u plan on dropping the car low inside the fender and also without rolling the fenders. What size are the wheels in the pic?

not true.... many people with earlier sets of volks before they started doing custom width/offsets for rears for the S.. are usually around +47-+50 offsets on a 7.5, 8 or 8.5 inch width wheel.. and not to many people had issues with rubbing when lowered unless they were running really wide tires...

the offsets you stated are somewhat optimal, but are not 100% nessecary...if you wanted to go with like a 9.5 or a 10 in the rear. then you'd have to go even higher then the offset you stated and be in the +70 area... if you went with a 9inch rear.. then you'd want to be in the 60's, but upper 50's would work..

and if you're running a bbk in the front (depending on the style of spokes on the wheel) you'll have to run a lot lower offset... (in the upper 30's)...
