Default FIRST DFW PICS-2006 S2000

Here are the pics i took today. Some of the car is still wrapped up since the new owner won't take delivery until Wednesday. If you were waiting to test drive the '06 we'll have the GPW and the Berlina Black in on or around the 28th.

Straight to the inspection Bay

No front Plate!

The DBW

I think this is the new Cruise Control Unit

The updated instrument panel includes an outside temp. display

The Steering Wheel

The VSA switch

This is what happens when you push it!

You can't tell but this radio door is actually titanium colored....

The Center Console houses the Defroster, and the sliding cover is glossy black

Roll bar speakers...great fit and finish - the sound quality is adequate for most

Hard to tell, but the bolster areas have a new grain to the leather

The passenger side gets this new storage shelf with a felt insert for "non-slip" storage. It's where honda forgot to put the "glovebox" on previous models.

Rear Wheel

Front Wheel - the rims actually look good in person

The New Color Up Close

BETTER???! Gas mileage?? WTH?

All yours for this low introductory price.....

Good to be back Gang!

Niceeee... I actually like how the new wheels look. I like the minor improvements here and there but the steering wheel is UGLY. Wish they kept the 9000 redline from 03... the s2k just doesnt seem the same without it.

I love all the little enhancements (temp gauge, speakers, airbag switch, etc). I'd have to actually drive it to decide if I like the DBW and VSA... oh, and the 2.2L.

Of course, since I'm not going to buy one, I'm not going to waste my time driving one. Too much temptation.

yeah i like alot of the interior stuff... and just the fact that its brand new is always appealing.. but the DBW, the lower redline and seats kinda kill it for me! ap1 for me each to his own tho. still a great looking car.. geez look how clean that engine bay is! and no rock chips on the front bumper either .. damn highway...

The red bull can was closed! Seriously though most of you will never notice the DBW. Its power delivery is much smoother. I did forget to mention that the 2006 has a different intake sound. No complaints on the updated model. I'll be getting a Suzuka Blue later in '06.

Hey! Just noticed some more new things.

No hose going to the intake for the secondary air injection system.
Also, an electrical connection on the intake just after the air box.
Different vac hose config - the hardline next to the TB doesn't have those two small hoses anymore.

I guess that would help explain the new intake sounds. It looks like they just moved the air temp. sensor from the intake hose to near the airbox.
