Default Reasons why the S2K is the perfect daily driver

On my 25 mile commute up I-95 this morning, I was eating a banana and drinking cawfee (yeah I know the two really don't go that well together ) and thinking about how this car simply rocks as a daily driver. Here I was, in traffic, eating and drinking with a stick shift, and having no difficulties whatsoever.

Here are my reasons: (add your's please )

1) You can be a lazy shifter. i.e. can go up to 43 MPH in first
gear and not sweat shifting so much. This makes it ideal when talking on the cell phone (not that I recommend that ) or doing other things
2) Small, fast car can dart in and out of traffic no sweat
3) Merging onto the Interstate is one of the best parts of my day
4) Top down and cruising 70+MPH on the interstate is a dream
5) Bastards want to cut you off or try to block you in, no probs...downshift and show them what Honda is made of

Well, I thought I had more but now it's your turn...

I can't think of any extras. . .

However, I used to have a '00 Honda Accord Coupe EXVL when I had my '00 S2000. The Coupe was supposed to be my daily driver and the S2000 more of a weekend car!

Well, it's no surprise that I drove the S2000 all the time. The Accord Coupe was very sweet but nothing beats driving in an S2000! I feel for the folks driving late model "beaters" instead of their S2000's! Glad the weather here in North Carolina stays moderate enough for driving all year long.

Makes getting up, and heading to work early a JOY!

Nothing wakes you up, like 9000 RPMs. (after 3 bars of course) And a passing the other cars in the morning, and giving them a wake up call.

Those bars only reflect the coolant temp --- more critical is oil temperature.

Generally I notice that the oil is up to temp (180 degrees) about 6-10 minutes after the coolant indicates normal.....

This is the first true sports car I've owned that can actually be driven through a Canadian winter (with snow tires of course). Perfectly balanced 50/50 wt. dist.

I agree that it is a very suitable daily driver. I have read several car mag reviews that rave about its speed and handling but suggest it is not very good for everyday use about town. I totally disagree. I think below VTEC driving makes it ideal for around town, and above VTEC driving is...well we know what that's like.
