3 things that a re amazing to me.

1) He spent nearly all the time up at the rev limiter.
2) His blipping the throttle while simultaneously braking was amazing.
3) The speed was fightening.

He may have :

i) a better car than me
ii) far better car skills than me
iii) a quicker time round the ring than I could ever hope to achieve

but an open face helmet is still going to make him look like a right goober.

 

Ok am I the only one who's thinking what the feck is that sat just on his rear bumper ?

It took me a good minute to work out that it was his helmet in the rear view mirror.

Referred to this an another thread, but here's one of the S2000 prototype going round the ring. Looks like the same driver (Gan San?).

Again good for heel and toe tips, but he almost holds it on the rev limiter too long for my liking. Click the pic for the vid ...

 

I like it, 8 minutes of giving the car death (as you should ) then straight into the pits, no cooldown and handbrake on. Clearly saying, "that's your 'kin lot mate, I'm done for the day!".

 

"We're not timing this ... but it should be a good lap!"

By my stopwatch, his bridge to gantry time was 8'17" ...

Probably was as quick as that NSX (and I don't think he was out of VTEC once )

 

The Phrase "BALLS OF STEEL" come to mind
