Default Mounting the Oem seat on the floor?

like a week ago i was reading a post about lowering the stock seats, and somone said hey is there a way to mount the oem seat directly to the floor to make it as low as possible

so as a conversation starter, can you take out the oem seats, remove the oem rails and sliders and mount the seat to the floor

im looking for some real idea's of how to do this

what do you guys think, i know you whould loose the ability to adjust the seat for other drivers, but for the real tall, or large drivers this whould be a real nice mod

also this needs to be not perminant, like the seat needs to be bolted down, and not modded to the point where the oem rails and sliders wont go back on the seat down the road when you want to sell or whatever

I would pay someone a large sum of money to develop this. I need the seat ON the floor.

yeah if someone could develop some kind of real slim mounting plate or something that mounted the seat on the floor they could make some big money

No. You can't remove the seat rails and mount the seat without them.

New rails would have to be developed for that.

I could have some made, but everyone would want them in a different position. I guess I could put a few different holes for mounting the seat forward or backward.

I'll see what I can come up with.

You would make a killing.

I could care less about on-the-fly adjustability. I think most of the drivers in my boat would say the same. We are the silent many who contort our backs into uncomfortable positions for ingress and egress and have to put up with the old "I can't keep both hands on the wheel while turning because my legs wont permit it".

The ideal setup would be one rail system that places the seat on or within half an inch of the floor. It would have two sets mounting holes, ALL the way back as far as possible and forward a few inches. I think that would cover 80-90% of this group of drivers. I don't know what it would take to develop this, but count me in. I will buy it the day someone builds it.

By retaining the stock seat, I think you could sell quite a few of these. One hundred or more...
