Default Softtop having trouble going all the way down

I just got this car about two months ago and I was trying to show my friend the power top and noticed that it didn't go all the way down for some reason. There wasn't anything in the way.

The only thing I could think of was that the car was off, just in the acc. on position?

Is it because of the fluctuation of weather in florida lately?

It should not have moved at all in this position. I believe it needs to be in the full ignition ON position.

You probably operated the top as instructed by the owner's manual (with the engine off). I say engine running is better. By "all the way", do you mean that it only went down halfway? Please elaborate. If it's only short (or tall ) by an inch or two, then you may need to go in for some goodwill fixing by the local Honda Dealership. I can't tell what model year your car is though, so it's anybody's guess.

Sometimes the elastic straps that pull the middle bar back become weak. This can prevent the top from going down all the way. Try pushing the bar back manually while lowering it.

If it continues to give you problems take it into the dealer to have it looked at. It may need a minor adjustment.
You should edit your profile to include your vehicle.

Then you were one past the "ACC" position.

sometimes when its cooler out, the top doesn't go all the way down. Then I'll drive around for 5 mins and the top settles into its normal position.
