Default CLOSE CALL today!!

you guys know that today was pouring, I was on my way home on 101 heading south, and the cars are splashing water all over the place. You guys know what that's like. Well since I just installed my AEM CAI, I didn't want to drive fast, so I was going around 60 - 63, and guess what?? I felt my tires constantly slipping, my car was pretty much "skating" on the road. All of a suddenly my car slipped to the right, and I knew if I didn't correct it it would fish tail or spin out, and luckly there was no car to my right, so I broke a little and corrected it.

My heart literally stopped that second when I almost spun out. I don't know if it was my tires or because of the S2000 ATTS, but it was scary I don't want that to happen again.

the roads around here are not designed well for rain, so be careful out there! I remember last febuary on 280 I was driving in the middle lane, then all of a sudden a car in the left lane hit a HUGE puddle and I couldn't see a thing, the splash completely engulfed my car! Luckily I was able to keep the car in a straight line and didn't have any major problems.

So let's all be careful out there during rainy season!!!

Yep, its that time of year again. We all have to relearn how to drive in the rain and avoid the "other" idiots who have not figured it out. I came back last night from Emeryville to San Jose on 880 and there were four different accidents, including one that blocked 3 lanes. Looked like everyone was ok, but i think it was a Civic that looked crushed.

Slow down folks, especially with our S-02's and RWD combo. Just be careful and we'll all make it to Spring. (hey, at least we dont have to deal with snow)

What S2000 ATTS are you referring to? Only the Prelude SH has/had ATTS...

Anyway, the LSD on the S2000 (like that on any other RWD LSD equipped car) can cause a spontaneous rear end sidestep that could result in a spin - so be careful if driving through roads where one side is a puddle and the other is just wet.

Hmmm... maybe it'll rain the morning of the Hopkins event. Let's do e-brake spinouts in the Hillsdale parking lot
