Default Cruise Control

So I'm removing my CC and I was wondering what people that have removed it used to block off the steering wheel buttons hole?
On Civics and other cars there were delete panels available because some models weren't equipped w/ CC, although the S comes w/ CC no matter what. Looking at it, an old scool Honda wheel delete panel may work, but I don't have one at the moment to try. Newer Civics have a similar wheel to the S and I think CC is an option on those and if so there should be a delete panel...
Anyone know of a straight fit before I go out and spend my efforts...

Jp

I don't know if its symmetrical but you can try the blank on the other side of the instrument panel. If not I'm sure you can modify it to fit

Yoiu can simply remove the pod from the steering wheel. It is just screwed on. You would never know it was gone.

There is the pod, yes. There is also the cruise on/off "switch" to deal with. I would use the space (maybe even the switch) for another purpose rather than removing it altogether.

When you remove the pod it leaves a hole in the side of the wheel...

The on off switch is easy to block off, you can use the delete panel from the other side of the dash where the defrost button goes on later models, which I will have soon w/ the install of my HT.

On my Si I did use the CC on/off button as a switch. Used it for my A/F meter so that I didn't have to watch the colors go back and fourth all the time. Just when I was at the track or tuning.

S2000s sold in other countries do not come with cruise control, so there must be some kind of "delete panel" for the hole in the steering wheel after the pod is removed. You may need to completely replace the steering wheel to avoid the hole though. Good luck.

[QUOTE=day1si,Jan 4 2006, 11:49 AM] No, I'm just crazy
Much like the WS wipers and washer bottle that are gone on my car... I never use the items, why leave them?
