In a few hundred miles it will stay on rather than flash. This is a reminder to change your oil. The reset procedure is in the manual. Essentially, (with car off) press and hold odometer clear button. Turn key as if you were starting the car. Wait until the light goes out, then release button. Go have a drink.

It does that to warn you that service is needed soon. Soon it will stay on all the time...there is a way to reset it. I can't remember how to do it right now but it's not a big deal.

It's just a reminder light . Nothing is wrong with your car , it just "thinks" you haven't had an oil change or scheduled maintenance recently and flashes mainly to annoy you .

Here's how to reset it : key in the ignition - press and hold the TRIP/RESET buttons (lower right corner of gauges) - turn the key to ON while still holding the two buttons - hold them until light stops blinking (10-15sec) . Then turn the key back to OFF and then start the car as normal - the light should be gone .

The four post above mine are gospel, do not read any further and do exactly what they say.

Ten times is O.K. like everyone said.

Eleven times the cars blows up or blows the 100 amp fuse.

Yeah...and don't forget to change out the factory blinker fluid with the new synthetic blinker fluid.
