Default New R32 :)

Well, finally, I can relax cuz I got my car after almost 3 weeks of waiting!!

As you can see it's the 06 R32 with leather and the DSG tranny. It's still in the break in period so I'm taking things pretty easy. My first impressions are that it's an insane highway cruiser...loads of torque and a great ride. Interior is first class all the way and the ergonomics are great. What's sweet is that it also handles very well indeed...not as nimble as an S2000 but there's no understeer at all and loads of grip. My only gripe is that it's kindof sluggish in its response off the line, there's a lag between when you press the pedal and the wave of torque kicking in. But when it hits....

So, the pics:

DSG Gearbox - Same as the Audi TTs I'm assuming.

Looks nice - It seems they got the dynamics of the fast Golfs back again.

I had a previous generation model in the UK and it was the dullest car I've ever had. Anodyne and lifeless.

Which DMC building are you in? I'm in 5.

I'm in building 1...staring out the window at my car

Gotta love the whole new car thing

The DSG can work like an automatic but it's one of the best - if not the best - paddle shifter out there (I'm using it in auto mode while it's in the break in period) but I plan on driving it using the paddles most of the time.

Not as much fun as a pure manual but less stressful in the good old Dubai gridlock

The handling is defenitely better than the Gen 4 Golfs - turn in ir crisp - but you do feel the weight and the front drive bias a little. Still, it seems to be a very well sorted car.

Yes I do see the pics - don't know what was wrong initially!

I'm in Bldg. 6 so also right next door - anytime this afternoon we can swing by and have a look (touch )?

That was me on the phone a while back - in case you were wondering

I think the gang may meet up this weekend sometime - so I'll let you know and maybe you can join. Otherwise, I'll give you a shout tomorrow for the grand tour

Good speaking with - see you soon.
