Custom S2000 signatures and wallpaper
I'm sure some of you have seen the little drawings of cars in people's signatures floating around. At the urging of my Southern California stablemates (and with the blessing of admin cthree), I have decided to do a limited run of custom signatures and drawings for a low cost.
I have limited myself to 51 drawings, and there are 10 spots left. If anyone is interested, sign up in this thread HERE.
Do NOT sign up in this thread please. The other thread is the only fair way to determine who posted first.
If you get on the list, be patient please, I do this on the side for fun, so there's really no telling how long it will take (maybe up to a month if you're #50). For authenticity, all signatures will be numbered in sequence out of 51.

Hey, can I have a sig please for my car?
Sure thing. Reserve a spot by posting in my other thread referenced in the first post. Then post a pic. I'll get to work on it when it's your turn, tell you how much it will be, and deliver the file upon payment.
Well, it says $9 and up. How much higher are we talking?
If your car is mostly stock, it'll be $9. Add a couple bucks more if your rims are complex, or you have custom graphics, etc. A severely work-intensive car will probably top out around $16-20, but that's a stretch, 90% of the cars will be $9-12.
Well, why do I have to pay for a signature when ______ got theirs for free?
If I could do everybody's car, I would. This is a fair way for me to lessen the requests a bit, and still be able to create people's cars for them.
Yeah, but $9 and up? Are you out of your mind? How do you sleep at night charging such exorbidant prices for a totally custom piece of artwork?
I sleep on a 10 year old mattress bought from "Uncle Buck's Furniture Barn." I need your $9 to save up for a new one. Happy now?
Ok, so what do I get for my $9 and up?
You get a unique numbered signature drawing out of 51, and also a high res wallpaper-sized drawing for your computer.
Hey, I got a sig drawing from you before you started charging. Are you going to hunt me down and make me pay?
No. You got in before I went corporate. Your sig was a gift from me to you, no strings attached. If you want a high-res version for your wallpaper, you can send me $9. But that's completely up to you.
It says my sig is In Progress. How long do you think it will take to do my car?
Random guess? Anywhere from a day to a month. I will update the queue so you know how many people are ahead of you, assuming I get more than 1 paying customer.
Ok. I've taken the plunge, you said my sig is done, pending payment. How do I pay you?
I'll PM you the details. Paypal is fine. Cash via snail mail is fine, and I'll take a personal check via snail mail as well, I'll assume if you can afford an S2000, you have more than $9 in your checking account.
Are you a graphic designer?
Not really. I'm a product designer who dabbles in graphic art if the pay ($9/hour) is right.
Can you do a drawing of my _________?
Well, I can, but I sure can't do it for the peanuts I'm charging for the S2000's. The only reason they're so cheap is because I have the original file for my own personal use. Creating a new car/bike/dog from scratch would take quite some time, and my unfortunately my freelance rate is not cheap.
Can I have the original illustrator file?
Sure. No problem. Lets see... figure the file has 40 hours of work at my regular freelance rate...
Cool, thanks!
That's not really a question, now is it?
