Default AEM Engine Management System

Have you all heard about the Plug and Play Engine Management System from AEM? Saw it recently at SEMA and it is outstanding. Replaces the factory ECU and can provide up to 40hp more! Not so sure about the 40hp gain....I want to see that one myself, but no doubt it will increase hp. Available mid December at a local speedshop near you. (Sorry to be so vague......I do not want this one to be deleted!) Contact me for locations throughout Houston until I wrap up my sponsorship with S2Ki...............Argh!

Yes, this has been posted in "under the hood". I'm very interested in it. What is the expected cost? We heard some outlandish numbers the first time around.

wesley,

do you remember the sport compact car magazine you were talking to me about yesterday? if you look in that magazine (i left it at work - i can't tell you the page number), you'll find the advertisement in it. it's a full page add, so it shouldn't be that hard to find. tell me if that's the same thing you're talking about.

Here's more specific info from the AEM website -- looks very promising, but I also heard it costs an arm and a leg...

Fivel, the post-whoring must end. It was obvious from what I posted that I know what the AEM unit is, and does...I just want to know the cost. Page 165 of SCC mag does not have the cost.

that's why i wrote:

i didn't have the magazine in front of me, so i couldn't tell you exactly what you needed to know, but it was possible that it had some information you needed on that page. you didn't mention that magazine, so i thought maybe you didn't know about the advertisement.

It is pricey......but I sat down with 2 of the owners of AEM at SEMA and after hearing the details of what went into this piece, I see why. List price from AEM is $1868.75 but lets just say that I know of a place you will be able to buy it below $1500.00 (which is jobber price). This is the only windows based management system on the market and does not require a technical background or an engineering degree to install and program. It will quickly become the #1 sought after unit on the market after introduction. Quite a buzz going on in the industry. Yes, it is priced higher than others but we all own S2000's instead of Miata's and we all know why......AEM is the deal.....

Whew.......
Ok, JEH is a sponsor now (Hopefully you have seen the banner)....
Now I can tell you that the AEM EMS can be purchased at our shop for 1495.00!
Coming to a friendly Honda dealer in Houston mid December..........Tried to buy the entire first production run but would only give us a Texas exclusive...No National......Oh well, guess we dont get that unfair advantage and that deeper discount for our fellow S2Ki'rs.....grin

Yes, Yes and Yes......very much compatible with everything. That is the beauty of this little unit. The windows based EMS makes it very easy to make adjustments. This is going to be the hottest tool in the industry for pumping up HP. Should be here around mid December and our parts department is currently taking orders with a 15% deposit.....Be the first on your block! And we will provide free technical advice over the phone should you need it!
