Hi all, for those of you who came to our 2005 West Coast meet, you'll know what a hoot we all had. We had a gathering of people from Washington State, B.C. and the Prairies all converge upon Vancouver. After having a great party at Geppetto's house (great host), we took off for a drive up the Sunshine Coast, over to Comox where we stayed the night and then down to Victoria where everyone split up and went their separate ways. Some went home and others, like myself, continued to San Fran.

Well, this coming summer, we'd like to have the Seattle club be the host city. I've been conversing with VTECMOM and she will run it past her people at their next "Taco Tuesday" meet. She indicated that weather in Washington and Oregon is more stable in August, so we've tentatively targeted that month for this meet. We thought it would nice if we could do such a meet/drive annually and just pick a different spot to host the starting point of it.

Please post any thoughts in this thread and if we can start a FIRE with this little spark, I'll post up a final thread on this meet later.

Of course, let's not forget our own Prairies meet. I'm still interested in doing a "weekender" out toward Medicine Hat or even Regina in July or August (not coinciding with the West Coast meet).

Now that you've posted in this and the PACNW threads, any new information, you will know. I doubt anything will be finalized till the beginning of summer.

BTW, I think if we do it in Seattle, we should do a drive to Mt St. Helens or something like that... just a thought

I would like to propose the weekend of Aug. 11, 12, 13 for this thing.

 

Can I propose a different weekend if possible? I'm going to Vancouver for a wedding that weekend

 

Make the proposal and see if the other communities will toss it around.
