Default 100K miles on Comptech SC - Is this a first?

I though this might be interesting.

I rolled over 167k on the S a few weeks ago which means I passed the 100,000 Supercharged miles marker (I installed it at 67k). I'm late posting so I'm actually over 101,000 SC miles now, but who's counting?

One more interesting thing - I did a quick estimate on engine revolutions and I have no doubt I've also passed the ONE BILLION REVS threshold. Pretty amazing if you think about it.

Major maintenance history so far:

1. Changed SC belt at about 120k (50k blower miles)
2. Changed propeller shaft at about 130k due to rear CV joint getting dry and vibrating.
3. Changed rear drive shafts at about 150k due to a noisey CV joint (don't know which one, just bought new axles and changed them both)
4. Two bad ignition coil packs, one changed under factory warranty.

The car still has the original diff, tranny, wheel bearings, etc. It's starting to use a little more oil than it used to but otherwise runs great. I'm trying to keep it till 2008 before buying a new one. I should easily pass 200k car miles by then.

The best thing is that Modifry drives the wheels off his car at track events.

I've said this before and I'll say it again .........................
It's not how hard you drive the car. It's how you drive it hard. If you don't understand the distinction between these two statements, you are more likely to break it. Also, it has a lot to do with how you maintain it.

I'm pretty sure Modifry's car has seen north of 150mph at Roebling Road's front straightaway. Driving fast on a track isn't the same as " driving it like you stole it" for 167K.
