Default Speedquest Performance Spring Dyno & BBQ Weekend

Just heard that speedquest is going to have a huge BBQ + Dyno Weekend (May 6 and 7th). Anyone in the UMW forum interested in going. I'm thinking of getting my E55 dynoed that event before it gets the Kleeman stage 2 upgrade. Click here for the details....

I may be interested in getting a baseline dyno.

Is the VAFC supposed to make any real gains? on a barely modified car? I never quite understood the reasoning for a VAFC. Other than hitting VTEC sooner

I am going to try to make this. I don't need to dyno anything, but I may come and hang out.

Even on a stock car, there are some gains to be had using a VAFC. You can set VTEC engagement points to better suit your needs, play with a/f trim to run leaner or richer as needed.

I wouldn't doubt or be surprised if a VAFC allowed a tuner to free up 10 horses and a couple ft/lbs of torque.

That being said, I may be up to come and play with the Speedquest guys. I'll know for sure as we get closer to that weekend.
