Default Mid-Atlantic Badge

Alright, since the new "For Sale" rules have changed, and it requires you to have a Mid-Atlantic Badge in order to sell, you need to post here if you want one. In order to qualify for a badge you will need to do this:

1. Live in the Mid-Atlantic region
2. Must participate in meets or functions. (We need to put a face to your screen name and make sure you actually live in the Mid-A area)

No more badges will be assigned to folks that "used to" live in the area and now live somewhere else. This is to help us control the "For Sale" threads and possible scams that may arise from their posts.

If you live in the area, and do not participate in meets or functions, you will not be badged. I'm sorry, but this is strictly enforced. We would like to see more participants come out to meets and functions and to make sure we have a way of tracking you down if a "For Sale" thread goes down the tube. This is our way of stopping members from other regions from selling in Mid-A.

So please make sure you qualify by posting what area you live in and come out to our meets or functions. Thanks.

Peter

For new folks on the boards, welcome to the Mid-Atlantic Community. The "For Sale" rules you can find here:

And once you've received a badge and have not formally introduced yourself, you can do so here:

I may be on some ignore list here but let's say I have a set of Volks for sale. I'm willing to drive 1 1/2 hours to meet a potential buyer which would get me to Maryland or so. The potential Mid-A buyer never visits the main For Sale forum or the Del-Val forum.

We both lose.

Just a thought.

Yup, you both lose. But assuming a buyer is looking for some wheels, he or she will look in the For Sale forum and find your listed wheels. And it'll be a bonus when they find a seller near them. I'd like to call it the diamond in the rough find.

Peter, I'll take a badge - I have an S2000, live in the Mid-A (Baltimore), and have been to a few meets, W&W, etc.
