Default Another T1R Strut Bar

Hey guys.. I picked up my T1R strut bar at AJ-R on Friday. Thanks again for the service and awesome product!!

First off, I thought the bar was pretty weird looking with the "pipe holes" over the struts. Then it didn't fit too well and I was dissapointed. Turns out it was just my new coilovers were sagging a bit. But once you get the threads on (4 nuts holding the bar down on top), I tighted and it raised my shocks. Perfect fitment, awesome welding, beautiful crafsmanship.

I actually installed the stop part first. Not sure which is easier. Im running a stock box, and definitely wanted to remove it for the lower part. No biggy, 5 minutes.
The bolts are all 14mm I reckon, top and bottom bar. You need a socket extension (unless you wanna break your back) to get the lower ones on the cross member / sub frame.
Lining it up is tought because you want the X piece behind some hoses, and you have 4 things to line up and slide in. But the fitment is perfect and it gets there. I have a Spugen heat shield (like Ztec), and I was getting ready to remove it... No need! This still fits!!!

Attached are some pictures of the process and quality. Also I show that this strut bar will fit with ANY intake but NOT an SC of course. The X part missed the tubing that would go into the TB from a Mugen (stock/Goto elbow), J's, AEM, Comptech, etc.

Enjoy!

And VOI-LA!

On the road to my T1R theme, on with the battery (I needed a new one anyway, FWIW):

T1R T182R Titanium Shift Knob. This thing is pretty small, but feels great. It sits really low, and gives a super solid feel:

I havent driven my car since Xmas.. But I hope to get it moving this week. I'll let you know hopefully next week, but it'll be hard to notice since I havent driven in so long.
But, I can already tell it's the best strut bar on the market. Ones like Cusco and Spoon have 2 hinges. Why? So when the car flexes, that nut can pivot. The Neuspeed is okay, as it is solid, but it's still only connecting the top which doesnt flex much as is. This one however, stiffens the bottom, stiffens the top, and since they are connected stiffen out with each other. No extra hinges, and connects 2 lower key points. Awesome design, awesome fitment, awesome craftsmanship, and great price (more than Spoon or Cusco, but less than ARC or other bawler bars).

Would this clear an intake like the AEM V2 and such?

Definitely a nice and functional piece

Is this a new piece from them? I've never seen it until just now. It looks really nice and I bet it does a little more work than a regular strut brace. The only thing I'm worried about fitment-wise is with the airbox lid on the Comptech intake. Almost every other brace hits the lid. This one might be close. Either way, looks awesome. Did you notice any difference with it on?
