Does everyone "make a good 6-figure income"?
I keep hearing on radio commercials or TV commercials that "I make a good 6-figure income, but ..." So I wonder if everyone else in America is making a good 6-figure income and what does it mean -- $100,000, $200,000 or $500,000 or $900,000? Would you go around telling everyone that you make a 6-figure income?
My son has 2 friends who just graduated from undergrad college and are (rumored to be) earning >100k. 1 is a very bright engineering grad from MIT and the other is a U Penn grad working on Wall Street.
OTOH, our 3500 member church (one of the 15 largest in the US for our denomination) has just hired a senior pastor (there are 5 associate pastors). He is one of the brightest 'preacher' stars in the country and his salary is 100k (+ housing and good benefits).
Is there something wrong with the above stats?

So they don't mean $9,999.00

For me, it most assuredly is contingent on the decimal point.
