Default S2000 Replacement Tire

I just installed a set of BFGoodrich g-Force Sports on a customers 05. The Customer was looking for a daily 3 season tire and I can up with these. They have great dry and wet ratings. They are priced below KDW2s and I believe to be a better rain tire. They have a tread wear of 340 and a nice squared side wall, they are actually .5 inches wider then the stock bridgestones on rear of AP2. These seem to be a nice cost effective replacement for a daily tire.

04+ (17 inch)

Front: $92.00
Rear: $105.00

00-03 (16 inch)

Front: $73.00
Rear: $76.00

Holy that is cheap as hell. About $100 cheaper per tire than SO2.
I wonder how it handles on dry?

My main concern is now superior dry grip. After living with RE750 for two years, it is time to graduate into something more stickier and hardcore.

would love to hear more about the review on this tire. Turn in response, dry traction...the whole nine yard.

Has anyone here tried the Hankook R-S2? That's the street tire I'm leaning towards right now, but I haven't seen too much about it from the S2000 guys.

I love my kumho MX's and will either get another set of these or the new Brigstone RE01-r. I will end up getting 7 - 8 thousand miles out of the MX's and they were rated at 220 treadwear. I might just go with R compound at this point such as the Yokahama Advan A048. Treadwear of 60!

The nationally competitive SCCA guys who run in street tire classes mostly run one of three tires: Falken 615s (not available in S2000 sizes), Kumho MX, or Hankook RS-2. You don't want to get caught in the snow with any of those, but they all have decent wet performance. As good as the S02 is, when you look at the guys who win national level SCCA events, no one uses them. And, by the way, those three tires all run about 25% - 40% less than the price of an S02. And if you get caught in the rain, you might wish you had bought a set of MXs or RS-2s instead of those mighty expensive S02s that could have you spinning so fast it will make your head, uhh, spin.

I'm thinking about the RE01-R's also but can't get anyone a Tire Rack to commit to any feedback
