Default Vented Hood

Tried the vents out on my old hood and learned a lot. I used my old hood and it came out pretty well. Now I wish I had not scratched it up in storing it. I am getting it painted soon but leaving the vents alum.

THAT LOOKS SWEET!!!!

Good Job Jeff

What grille pattern is that. if it is regular mesh we can try to locate some race style (circles cut into billet etc etc) mesh.

LOOKS SO HOT ON BERLINA!!!

So...can we get a summary of the lessons learned?

Looks nice!!! You should try it out with grey or gunmetal colored mesh...might look good.

The vent material is a staggered small holes. I got it from friends and almost enough to do two hoods for $20. I am getting more soon.

I am going to do yours next with some body work to fix the dent. I will paint the grills black on those.

Blue vents!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha JK

my hood is going to require some bondo and heavy sanding. The dent stretched the metal quite a bit

If you are willing I would like the 3 holes down the battery side

We can discuss further when we catch up with each other.

Looks fantastic Jeff, really

regarding rain issues, I think the originators of this mod devised some kind of application they attached to the vent areas during incliment weather.

I will see if I can dig up the mod thread and see what they did.
