buy a dremel and start using it!
jk

someone's bound to link you on this topic..but from my knowledge..single exhaust is a good start and there are plenty of interior items that aren't necessary...spare tire was the first thing i did.

good luck

few other things i'm thinking of but don't know exact weight savings..

air conditioning is big
soft top is a heavy item but needs replaced with hardtop so net savings is probably minimal
passenger seat
sun visors
air bags

depends on how extreme you're getting

Net savings on the factory hardtop (w/soft top completely removed) is about 20lbs. IIRC. Someone actually did the exact weights a year or two ago, but I can't find the thread. You could probably save another 10lbs. or so going with one of the CF hardtops available, but that's VERY expensive weight savings.

Lighter wheels are always a good thing. You can drop 5-10lbs. per corner quite easily and inexpensively if you so choose.

The CF hood and trunk don't seem to add up to much weight savings IIRC.

That's what I always thought. All the blazingly fast mofos out here on the west coast recommended removing the rear sway bar due to rear wheel lift. In corners, all the power goes to the wheel off the ground and you lose drive out of corners. I've had a little wheel lift, but not much, so I left mine on--until last Fri. I was getting MASSIVE amounts of wheel lift, so I figured what the hell and disconnected the thing. Didn't have any issues with rear wheel lift after that...just had some issues with understeer, which should be fixed when I remove my Saner and go with the stock front bar.
