We are needing to gauge the level of interest among those attending S2KDays Thunderhill '02. First let me give you some background on the event. It is the S2000 Club of America's once-a-year national event. We had just about 100 cars last April for an entire weekend of great drives, vendor expo, ballrooms for dinners and lots of craziness. Many who attended said it was one of the best weekends they have ever had...I can say for sure that it was for me! Man, what an awesome weekend that was!

So, for 2002, S2KDays takes place June 20-23 and will get underway with two full days of track time just for us, at Thunderhill Park in Willows, CA. We have a hotel lined up in Willows for the Wednesday and Thursday night and then the rest of the event/weekend will be taking place in the Sacramento area. We are only a couple of days away from me signing the contract at the hotel in Sacramento (stay tuned for an announcement on that soon!).

S2KDays Thunderhill '02 will have a similar style as this years S2KDays and the hotel is a first class place. We are going to have a huge vendor expo, concours and dinners...it's going to be just like Asheville, but on steroids! We are planning for 250-300 cars and that means several hundred people. In order to attend the event, you will have to be an S2KCA member. Check out www.s2kca.com for more info on our organization...

OK, that said...for those who are planning on coming, the poll is meant for you. If you are planning on coming, will you be going to run Thunderhill with us? It's a very safe course...check it out at www.thunderhill.com.

Thanks for voting! And as I said, stay tuned for some very big announcements in the coming days...I mean it!

Thunderhill is an unbelievable race track. It has a turn that is compared to the "corkscrew" at Laguna Seca. It's a fairly long and fast track with nice elevation changes, and a good combination of fast and tight corners. It really has a little bit of everything. For anyone who enjoys track time I can wholeheartedly recommend participating in the track days being offered. Thanks Greg.

How do we vote if we have no ride? Well ride as in our own STOOK.

Yes big jab at Greg the Ani-stook member!

The "buried" meaning of this post is to figure out who is going to track their car at Thunderhill and for how many days.

We have two days at the track so we will need a minimum amount of people to keep two days. We want to make sure we have the interest level to do this.

Pinky - please fly in for the event!

The track time will be for S2000's only though.

Please also keep in mind that in order to do the track days, you have to sign up for the rest of the weekend as well.

Any other comments, please post them here.

It's going to be another great weekend!

Is there any way you can give us a ballpark cost for the track day(s)? Will there be a discount for doing both days (i.e., less than twice the price of one day)?

Thanks,

Ted

Unfortunately, the details have not been worked out for the track days yet.

We do have a block of rooms in Willows arranged with very favorable pricing, however.

We will get these prices out as soon as possible.

No deadline yet.

We will be pulling all of the costs, etc together over the next month or so and a registration process will be put in place.

There will be a deadline so that we can meet our obligations to the track and hotels.

Anyone in the midwest or further east want to meet up somewhere in the middle of the country before hand and then drive up there together? I am really thinking about going, but I would love to make the drive with a few others. PM me if you are interested.
Thanks,
-Brandon
