Default Clutch Buzzz Questions

As some of you know, I have the Clutch Buzz really bad.. It has gotten to the point where I really need to do something about it.

I posted this in a different thread, and this was one of the answers I got.

I have the clutch buzzz really bad in my 01.

What does it take to fix the problem permenately? A completely new clutch/flywheel/preasure plate?

I have tried to get 3 dealers to replace it with no luck.
There seem to be two schools of thought:

1. Replace the clutch disk. I can say with certainty that it fixed the problem short-term.
2. The only way to fix it permanently is to sell the car and buy something else. This school of thought believes that the noise will come back no matter what.

This can't be right (I hope).

Has anyone had this fixed and the noise has not come back? My clutch works great as I only have 18k miles on the car, but If I have to replace it to fix the problem, I may just do it.

Anyone have any more info on this, or have any better ideas?
SSAP1, think you can convince Honda to help me, lol..

Option 1... I had mine replaced at 36k miles under the TSB "warranty". I'm at 96k miles now and no buzz is evident.

Josh -
Ask Rob how his is doing. We did it before the motor rebuild it fixed the buzz problem. Also Hobbyholic's S2K has it. We are replacing his this week.

Your car has about the worst buzz I have heard. It is not harming anything, but just anoying.

PS. I like response #2 before the period. Kinda' funny but it can be fixed and I do not see why it would come back if you use an aftermarket disc/PP combo. Just my .02 worth.

No buzzing from my new stuff

I suggest a new disc and that should do it. You may want to resurface the PP and flywheel but I dont think it would be necessary. The TSB suggest the new clutch disc and thats it. Rick is very good at pulling the tranny now 2nrwerks should be able to handle it no problem

Depends on what buzz you're talking about. I had the decel buzz and a new clutch fixed it. I had mine done two years ago. I rode with Dave the other day and he has a clutch pedal buzz (very loud and annoying). He's taken it back to Honda a number of times with no answers and no fix.

Hmmm.. I can hear a buzzing under the center console when I'm deceling with a tiny bit of gas pedal... Basically, almost maintaining speed, not using the compression of the engine to slow me down, or speeding up.. Just tension, if that makes sense..

Would this be considered Clutch Buzz? Sorry for the noob question, I've seen it talked about, but never explained..

I had mine replaced at around 10,000 mi. under the TSB. I am now close to 18,000 mi. and so far so good, no buzzing. Get it replaced.
