If you use Google, try Blingo instead... it uses Google's data for web and image searches (news, Froogle, videos, etc are not supported yet) but gives you (and me!) a chance to win prizes just for searching. I'm not sure how solid the business model is, but they do award prizes (my friend who signed me up has won about a dozen in the last 5 months). Prizes include Visa gift cards, movie ticket, iTunes, and some bigger prizes like iPods and PSPs.
