I'm looking to get some new mats to replace the oem ones. I'm cosidering the MUZ Prestige mats, but was curious as to how these compare with Rick's Luxury Nylon mats. If anyone out there has seen both of these, please let me know what the difference is and which one is better.

The Rick's mats seem to be a much better value, but only if the quality and feel is there. Every other thing I've ever bought from Rick's was first class, but I'd love to get an opinion on the mats as well.

 

Have never seen Rick's mats. Received a set of mats from Muz about 3 weeks ago. Am pleased with the quality and fit.

 

I have the Rick's nylon mats and can say that they are far superior to the OEM, not only in terms of floor coverage but also in overall quality and materials. They fit the weird contours and cross-braces perfectly. Great value. Unfortunately, I've never seen either Rick's wilton wool or Muz' prestige mats in person so I can't give you a direct comparison.

 

I have the Muz mats they fit perfect and the quality is excellent. Ricks mats are the same. Anything is better than OEM

 

So I take it no one has seen both of them before?

 

its almost the same thing but the MUZ has an "S" logo and by choice you can get a red out line or another color on it, the ricks dont. if you want the "S" you should get the MUZ if you dont care get the Rick's cuz i think its cheaper

Actually, there are other differance.

 

Can't help with the MUZ mats, but I did just get my Rick's nylon mats yesterday. The fit is very nice. The drivers side attachment is simple but should be effective and the rubber heel pad is standard. The passenger contouring is great. The color is not quite what I expected from the swatches on the website (the charcoal is more of a medium grey and the blue trim is not very vibrant) so you may want to ask for better detail about the colors before you order, but I am satisfied with how they look in my car.

My other experience is with Lloyd's mats in my 911. I think the Lloyd's pile is nicer than what Rick used, but I like the backing on Rick's better. Certainly the complexity of stitching the S2000 mats is far greater than the flat 911 mats.
