Default Loud Ticking Noise

I have this really annoying noise coming from the flimsy s2000 plastic parcel shelf. Its the sort of noise you get when plastic rubs together and moves.

The plastic parcel shelf isnt the most rigid of things on the car and I guess after time its clips can come loose hence the rubbing and clicky-tappy noises coming from it.

I thought I might replace the clips that hold this into place but before I do I thought it may be worth asking if any of you have encountered a noisy shelf and what did you do about it?

Also my roof was replaced last year by the previous owner however who ever did the install, didnt do the best job on it as i can see the internal metal bar (the spans across the back) is not lush and tight with the plastic of the shelf, there is about 1cm gap going around. Could someone take a picture of there's internally so I can see how it is supposed to look please.

post away...

Hmmm, removing that tray is one thing, getting it back right is another!

If your car is due for the service where the fuel filter is changed, they have to remove the tray so let them do it

If not it is really hard. I struggled getting mine back in. Maybe best to remove it and try again? If you look in the Forced Induction FAQ my install guide is in there which might help.
