Default Ricks Floormats- Colors

I've been wanting to get new floormats FOREVER, and finally have some cash to throw into my car. So I'd like to get Rick's mats, but I'm not sure I want to drop $400 on floormats.

But I'd really like OEM color mats (charcoal or gray) with silver trim, but silver trim isn't availabe on either the wilton wool or the nylon. So I'm thinking the light gray with Black trim would look good- as my car is silverstone and black. Does anyone have the gray (not charcoal) and how does it look, is it a close approximation to Silverstone? Pictures? Thanks a ton!!!

Yeah I've been waiting to get some fullsized mats, but can't pull the trigger.

I think the charcoal with black trim will not only look the best, but will be super easy to sell later on down the road. You are limiting yourself by looking at silver.

Also, did you look at Muz's mats? They are very similar and may have some different options.

I originally wanted the muz mats, but have read some bad reviews of them around the boards, whereas I have heard nothing but good things about ricks.

Charcoal with black may be the way i'll end up going, i just need to confirm that charcoal is an approximate match to the OEM carpet color. Thanks!

I agree about how charcoal's easiest to sell down the road.

The charcoal color matches well with the OEM carpet. If you have the extra cash, get the prestige mats. They are of much higher quality.

I read those reviews too, and I think some of the fault has to lie with the owner and the lack of patience to let the product settle in. Keep in mind they are rolled up/folded and placed in a box to ship. It takes a little while to get the folds out.

Rick's Wilton Wool mats work out to just over $400 shipped, including a driver's heel mat and "hidden" anchor posts.

Muz's Prestige Mats work out to just over $285 shipped, including the heel mat for the driver, the "S" on the crossbrace and anchor post eyelets.

The only advantage I see with Rick's is the rubber backing material instead of Muz's vinyl backing. For over $100 difference, I'm not sure the backing is THAT much better.

I've ordered numerous items from Muz over the past 3+ years and have NEVER been disappointed. He also has great cust service so if by chance you have any issues - you WILL be well taken care of. I also have no issues with Rick's and have had good dealings with them. Buy with confidence from either one.

I bought the Muz Prestige (charcoal) mats back in March, they are excellent quality. The charcoal color is slightly lighter than the stock carpet

Extremely satisfied with the mats.

Yowza. I just noticed Rick's has a link to Amazon.com for the S2000 book by Carney....and it is now going for over $99!!!!!! And I foolishly offered up my copy last week for bids starting at $40. I guess it is now outta print and a hot commodity.

There is alot more then that.

Ours, Wilton Wool is just that wool. It is the same wool that is used in High end cars (Rolls, Bentley, etc). Our Nylon is is also from High end cars. So the better comparison would be our nylon mats and Muz's Prestige Mats.

I had the Muz mats in my old s2000 and while they were stylish and nice, I wished the whole time that they had a rubber nubbed backing to keep them in place.

Rick's nylon carpets are less than $200 shipped, so this time I'll try those and see if they actually stay in place.

I have bought numerous items from both Rick and Muz and both are great to deal with.

Fair enough. I went back and looked again at Muz's description. You are correct that they use vinyl carpet.

The revised comparison has you guys priced a little under the competition now . Current score is Rick's $194 / Muz $285 or $210 (all include shipping).

I still love both your companies and will continue to support you here on the web and in my own transactions.
