got a call from hondas "research department" this pass week saying something about the 7th of august there was going to be a s2000 thing. This event is supposed to be out in santa monica and was paying 150 bucks. just wondering if anybody else got a call and if you did, are you going to be attending?

I wouldent do it. There has been past threads about companys paying to do research on s2k's and were paying slim to nothing, while beating down the car

i did it for the Porsche Boxter, and also the Caddy CTSV. it was fun both was held at Long Beach convention center. Porsche was the best paid i think 100 bucks and they gave you high class crackers and cheese. The Caddy group eh.. 20 bucks and that paid for parking!

it's basically a pre-release of a new car. nothing is done to your car you get to check out a new car that is not on the market yet. you fill out a survay as you go over the car, some times you get to drive it around a few times.

but nothing is done to your car it just sits in the parking lot for 2-3 hrs untill your done with your survay

Yep, the big hint was the R&D department holding the survey. I guess it's good that most people are wary these days of scams!

Anyway, I missed out twice on peepin new cars! Both times I had a mandatory Saturday work schedule! DAMN!

if it's euro cars i say DO IT!!! they give you good goodies to take home, Japanese cars depending on the company if it's Mazda or Mitsubishi they tend to show the crappy people movers.

domestic i would pass not unless you like domestic cars but i got paid $20 where Porsche paid BANK!!!! heheheheheh....
