Default Played with a 350Z convertable

So I was driving around tonight, and a 350z convertable pulled up to me..... slowed down, then took off.

Well it seem like the 350z is the car people on this board chose to hate the most. So I figured I would take one for the team and go try him out.

So we enter an onramp going onto the highway. There's a car in front of him so we're going pretty slow on this ramp.

I shift down to 2nd and cruise along at 7000rpm...lol

Once we get on the higway both of us gun it. I slowly... slowly start gaining on him.
He changes lanes so that we're in seperate lanes.... I'm still gaining... gaining.....

I get to about his rear bumper (started about 2 cars back) and he shuts it down as I fly by him.

I wish he would have waited for me to pass him, but oh well......

MY03 + aem cai +18" wheels. He seemed stock.

I think we can take the convertables, but the hardtops beign 200+lbs lighter might be a different story.

Chalk one up for the good guys.

P.S I raced a G35 earlier in the night. So pretty much a Z car. And he beat me by 6-8 cars

It was my friend and he's got a vortec supercharger.

Nice road kill, those 350Z drivers like to think they are something special!

a stock s2k should be able to handle the g35. so idk about 6-8 cars. he may have had mods or something.

plus the newer models arent any faster. they gained a bit of horsepower but lost tq.

as dicussed in length in other threads. the Z coupe will start walking us at 100-110 and on.

vortec supercharger and other goodies. He probably could have beat me by more than 8 cars if we kept going. I shut it down after 2nd gear. lol

We'll race again when I get my blower.

350Z verts would be similar to racing a G35 coupe stock. You'll walk them everytime.

Yes, 350Z drivers of any type think they are something special, ugh overweight special I guess.

good kill.

They're a little faster, but they are heavier along with the added horsepower. Should still be a good race with a good driver in an s2k.
