Recommended by Honda is 80, but use 90 just because I've seen some reports of lugnuts coming off at the track when 80 was used.

out of curiousity viper were the wheels aftermarket or oem. If they were after market they may not have been using hubrings.

The lack of hub rings wouldn't cause that issue.

Yes it will cause the lugs to come loose. The reason is the wheel is not seating all the way on. I have already seen it happen.

really now, are you some type of expert, I geuss the hubrings are just a gimmick . The hub is what really holds the wheels in place, the lugs just keep the wheel butted up against the hub.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe there were examples of both OEM and aftermarket that had worked themselves loose.

sorry about the attitude but, but if a wheel is is not properly centered than there is a better chance of it coming off.
