'Car' S2000 review
Probably fair, but slightly misses the point of the 4WS and the car's cold-tyre trickiness.

Its a common crticism of our car which I think is an asset! Perhaps they are talking more about the passenger space as that can be pretty terrible for 6 footers!
The review also talks about the 04 styling like it's new for 06...
Ha! It's that constant contradiction about torque, driver's car and the gearbox that gets to me.
My case: "I want a sports car that involves me. This engine is a rev-happy lump, and it's excellent. The gearbox is really slick shifting. Excellent.
"But I don't want to change gear, I'm lazy, where's the torque?"
It's a DRIVER'S car, it is supposed to involve you, so that you don't sit there doing nothing but steering and modulating the throttle. You buy an auto diesel if you don't want to change gear on long journeys. The S2000's gearbox is exceptionally good and I never find the car becoming 'wearisome' on long journeys, nor do I think it has unacceptably low levels of torque. I accept it is not the most flexible of engines but it 95 per cent of day to day driving I find its torque is absolutely fine.

I never used to understand that bit about the buzzy engine note becoming wearisome etc...
