Default ap2 vs ap1

I am in the market for the s2000.

I have driven ap1 and ap2s.

the ap2 drives so much better?

more power and the handling and ride feels so much better.

feels like 2 different cars. the ap1 really turns me off. the ap2 is very convincing.

is this how everybody else feels?

i just missed the honda clearance special lease program...

anybody knows who is still offering the program ?

Well Technicly the Ap1 has m ore power than the Ap2 so torque is probobly what you meant and the Ap2 does have more because the displacement is bigger so it probobly feals a little quicker. However I have drivin both of them and to be honist I didn't feel much of a differance. I think the Ap2 looks better but I love my 9 grand redline from my Ap1.

The end feels "better" because the gearing for gears 1 to 4 changed.

How does bigger rims "help"?

i have both in the garage and my assessment is this:

the ap2 is easier to drive fast. the power, gears, more stable rear end all help inspire confidence and sometimes that equals speed.

the ap1; however, is more satisfying to drive fast. when you get in the groove and all of your inputs start to flow, it puts a huge smile on your face.

just my opinion.

I haven't driven an AP2 yet but I know what you're talking about in the feeling you get in an AP1...if you are not used to tight suspensions and tight steering the AP1 feels unpredictable, but coming from driving lowered, damper/rebound tuned sport coupes all my life I love the stiff ride of the AP1...it feels very connected to the road and the steering response is out of this world.

The Ap2 is geared more toward being "normal driver friendly" The AP1 is simply more fun for seasoned drivers who love to control a car and have great road feedback through the tighter suspension and tighter steering.
