After a little less than 4 months of ownership
So when I first got my S back in June, my goal for the car was to make it faster than STi's, Evo's, and the like. Then it went down to a side goal, like having a "Would be nice to have" attitude but not a necessity. Now almost 4 months later, I'm starting to let it go. I'm just starting to become indifferent to it all now.
I used to read the posts under Street Encounters every day. Watch pages and pages of videos and comments of Streetfire.net (The haven for blowouts of e-penises) Now I like, don't care for them that much anymore.
Reading stuff from other users here on the forums probably helped me to reshape my way of thinking. Having the mentality that the S isn't seen as a fast car anymore also helped me to appreciate the car as a whole.
I give my thanks to you guys, even though your help was indirect.

If you want to street race, the S2000 is the WRONG car. Get an old Mustang or Camaro and drop in in a modded motor.
I had a C5 with bolt-on mods that ran low 12 second 1/4 mile times at 117mph on street tires. It was a fast, fun car. The S2000 isn't as fast, but I would almost say it's more fun to drive around town because it feels a bit more nimble/tossable and it's fun to wring out a couple gears and still only be going 70mph.

You mean stock STi's/Evo's are fast?!?
You can get your S2K just as fast as those cars, but whether or not its worth it is up to you. I have started to enjoy taking turns much more then going fast in a straight line, but the occasional straight line blast is still fun.
