Default numberplate and headlight washer mods

Right, I want to tidy up the the car a bit. One of the things on my list is a front bumper respray and this of course opens up the possibility of (a) either body colour spraying the HID washers or removing them (thinking of resale issues as well); and (b) relocating numberplate.

I'm undecided whether I should do the latter mod and, if so, whether I go for a 3/4 plate (although it looks a little like an after though) or go for a numberplate sticker such as PJL or Burnie (I prefer Burnie's numberplate location but my numberplate isn't legally spaced so I have hassle when the MOT comes around each year).

Post up your photos and suggestions please!

I would leave the washers on and paint them, it looks JDM with out them.
I like the 3/4 plate idea as well, needs the bumper off to do it though!
Here's one in Silverstone!

Here's one of my other S's that didn't need the bumper removing.

This is my 00 car after a bumper respray and the washers coded

Hmmm, your assortment of S2000s have come in handy there Mikey!

How are you fixing the cut down numberplate to the front of the car? If its self tapping screws then I guess it is a faff and messy to then swop on legal plates? Or perhaps I can rig on some numberplate scrws/bolts which only require removal of the head on the front of the numberplate, to permit swopping plates?

Mega strength velcro!

I looked closely at Burnies, he has the washers removed.
You can just see the outline of the hole. Apparently the filler expands and contracts slightly diffrently to the plastic in the sun and often gives an "outline"

I always find mega strength velcro means that the backing glue fails instead when you try to pull the velcro apart

PJL - have you had similar filler flexing issues?
